How to Audition

Acceptance into the Park Avenue Youth Chorale is based on a short audition and interview.  Students from grade 3 to grade 12 may apply and will be placed into either the beginning or intermediate ensemble based on their audition. 

All students wishing to audition should be prepared to sing at least one of the following songs:  Happy Birthday; Amazing Grace; America/My Country ‘Tis of Thee; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star/ABC song.   

Applicants will not be turned away for lack of musical experience or skill.  The audition is only used to aid in ensemble placement.  The choir training program is intended as a place of learning and growth, and the most important requirement for membership in the program is regular, committed attendance at rehearsals and performances.
